Please join the Hanson Park Conservancy on Tuesday, November 14 at 7:00 PM as we welcome Cathy Miller, dried flower designer, lecturer and author.  She will be presenting her program, "It's Holiday Time," at the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Ave.

After decades of creating beautiful dried-flower arrangements for the White House, Mrs. Miller has many stories to share!  She will be demonstrating how to create a mix of fresh and dried flower arrangements.

Participants will have the chance to win one of four door prizes, including two of the arrangements made during the evening, as well as a copy of her book, "Harvesting, Preserving & Arranging Dried Flowers."

Proceeds go towards the Hanson Park Conservancy and their efforts to beautify and maintain Hanson Park, as well as their educational programs and workshops.

Though music was a dominant factor in her early life, Cathy Miller’s love of flowers made her an avid gardener as well! After she and her husband settled in Wyckoff, Cathy joined the Wyckoff Garden Club and later served as president.

She was the recipient of many blue ribbons as well as the coveted Tricolor and Creativity Awards, locally and at state levels. Her first article appeared in Family Circle magazine in June of 1976 and since then she has completed dozens of assignments for several home and garden publications, as well as appearing on many TV programs.

Her crowning achievement came in October 1979, when she made her first trip to the White House to create some of her very own dried flower arrangements!
