Come learn how to start or improve your vegetable garden, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced veteran. Learn how to grow the garden that suits your needs and yields the bounty of your choosing.  Topics include sustainable soil management, variety selection, companion planting, mulching, cover cropping and succession planting, with an emphasis on organic methods. A vegetable garden is within reach to anyone who has access to a little soil and sunshine!

Instructor Virginia Lamb is an educator with over 25 years of experience, specializing in composting and organic gardening.  She has lectured extensively throughout the region to non-profit groups, companies and community/government organizations. Virginia is currently pursuing her MS in Soil Science, with a focus on the potential for soils to mitigate climate change. She lives with her family in Maplewood.
