HANSON PARK CONSERVANCY

Township of Cranford

The Hanson Park Conservancy (HPC) is pleased to announce the Jan Lilien Education Fund, which will begin this year to provide educational programs on sustainability and environmental awareness. The Jan Lilien Education Fund was made possible by donations in memory of the late Jan Lilien of Cranford.

Our vision for conservation

The Hanson Park Conservancy is a non-profit corporation begun in 2004 by a group of Cranford Citizens to support efforts to upgrade and maintain Hanson Park and also to provide guidance and financial support to the preservation of the Cranford Canoe Club building.

The mission of the Conservancy is to provide monies through private fundraising efforts to implement the Phase II plan for Hanson Park and to complete the restoration of the Cranford Canoe Club.

The Conservancy plans to continue beyond the implementation phase to provide guidance and support for ongoing maintenance of the park. We have forged successful partnerships with schools, local community groups and other entities to provide financial and volunteer support for the park. We are also proud of our commitment to provide programs centered on environmental and cultural topics as they relate to the site.
